Dedicated to Australian flora and fauna

The gardens specialise in Australian native plants and provide habitat for many endangered species of native birds, mammals and reptiles.

Space for Australia to grow

The gardens cover an area of 363 hectares, which includes 10km of walking tracks, a lookout tower, picnic sites and free barbecue facilities.

A history of natural beauty

The gardens were established in 1970 but were only opened to the public in 1989. They’re constantly evolving: the Australian Garden opened in 2006.
